Castello Sforzesco & City Sightseeing Tour

Ciao everyone! 1 more month I'm going back Malaysia! :D
Happy to go back but i know I'll definitely miss here a lot.

During my third week in Milano, Italy. We went to Castello Sferzesco, which is actually not far from our residence.

Early morning we took the Metro LRT to Cairoli. Which is around 30min from our residence.

And this is a special thing that Italy have, their public train on the road.
I haven't got a chance to try it out yet.

A shot of myself before we walk to the Castello.

This is the Castello Sforzesco! It is actually located just opposite of Metro station of Cairoli. So it's very convenient you to come here by Metro.

Quote from Wikipedia
'Castello Sforzesco (English: Sforza Castle) is a castle in Milan, Italy, that used to be the seat and residence of the Duchy of Milan and one of the biggest citadels in Europe and now houses several of the city's museums and art collections.' Source

It's very big in the Castello, which is constructed begin in 14th Century. wtf.
And love their building here.

Imagine how they actually built this amazing castle in the 14th century.

Thanks Hadi for taking this pics for me.

A random statue which i don't know whats that but who cares? Take pics and ciao

A pics of Hadi, my colleague when he was looking at the map.

The western culture, which don't shy to express their love in front of public.
I like this.

Another statue in front of the Castello, seems familiar but i couldn't remember where i saw this before.

My lunch! :D

We actually bought the ticket for city sightseeing tour for 4 hours total. Costs us EURO22.
And the bus brought us to visit the whole Milano famous tourism point without stop.
It's worth for me. :)

Corso Buenos Aires

How you find about Duomo Milano? Is it nice for u?
Just got back Milan yesterday night from Firenze & Pisa. Nice place indeed!
Will be talking about it more on next few post.

So, the second week of my working. I went to a place that i always wanted to go.
The Apple Store, in Carugate Italy. This is the real official Apple store here.
Many of you sure ask, Malaysia don't have mer? No, we don't have.
All Machines, Mac City, Epicentre and etc are just 'Authorized reseller'.
When i walked into the Apple store, i was actually find for some earphone.
But now tried on few models, Sennheiser, Bose and now i bought this. Monster Beats.

This is Solo HD by Monster Beats. I used to own another Beats product, Tour (IEM).
But i've no idea why it goes wrong at one of the side and i've no warranty covered on that.
(As i bought it cheaper in Australia).

Malaysia official retails price is RM1180 which is slightly more expensive than here.
I got it from Apple Store for EUR199.95. One of the reason i bought it here because of the guarantee authentic product, which this hot selling headphone has too many pirates out there.
Will be writing one post about review after sometime. :)

Anyway, here goes my second weekend in Milano. We went for shopping, Again!
This time we went to Corso Buenos Aires, another famous shopping street in Milan.
Which is quite near to us, with only 5 minutes Metro LRT.

Oh ya, forgot to tell you guys that my company actually rented a car for us.
The Fiat Punto 1.2L. It's very cute and convenient. It's Manual Transmission tho.
After sometimes, i actually start to miss my Vios in Muar. =/

We reached here by Metro Train, The Buenos Aires Stress.

One of the shops. The building here are all old style building.
Very typical western style with unique feel.

And Hadi took this shop for me, using my camera. (Of coz requested by me! =p)

A shot of me in front of Porta Venezia, a museum/gallery/park and etc.

A random shot of a couple.

I actually took this shot at the evening, no photos between Porta Venezia and here coz i was busy shopping and no photo there. haha

Me and my victory! :D (Of coz the brown paper bag is not mine =x )

Shopping day in Duomo, Milan.

How you find my previous post about my first day at Milan? :)
Was started to work in the next day i reached here, Monday.
So we were going to work at 8am and managed to reach at 10smth.
Haha..Obviously we were lost again coz we're all first time here!
Oh just for you info, i came here with another Malay colleague, Hadi.

So, first week was kinda blur, just managed to get know the colleagues here.
Cut the words short, start my travel journey then.

After a week of working, we managed to ask around where to go during weekend.
Everyone told us have to go Duomo for a visit as it's the landmark of Milan.

We went out at 10smth in da morning to the nearest Metro station.
It's actually 2 minutes walk from our residence. The Turro station.
Standard Urban Ticket cost around EUR 1 to anywhere u want to go.
The ticket can last for one time journey to whenever u want.
But it can only last for 75 minutes.

This is the Duomo, landmark of Milan!
We were so impressed by the building once you come out from the Metro underground station at 'Duomo' station.
This is seriously very remarkable and amazing building!

Wiki Definition for Duomo:
Milan Cathedral (Italian: Duomo in Milano) is the cathedral church of Milan in Lombardy, northern Italy. Dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente (Saint Mary Nascent), it is the seat of the Archbishop of Milan, currently Cardinal Dionigi Tettamanzi. The Gothic cathedral took five centuries to complete. It is the largest Gothic cathedral and the second largest Catholic cathedral in the world.

This is a statue in front of the Duomo church. Which i've no idea who is it lah!
Haha the bad things of visitin alone without a proper tour guide =|

Milan is a city which full of unique & old buildings.
It's pretty nice feeling looking at these!

For all the shopaholic, one of the streets that you have to know!
Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II ! The high level branded place..

Of course don't forget about Corso St Andrea, San Babila, Via Manzoni and etc.
All the top world famous brands are in there, u named it

That was me taking pics in the Galleria.
This Galleria is built by two glass vaunted arcades at right angle intersecting an octagon.
More about the Galleria here. <- Click for Wiki explain.

A random shot when i was street walking along via Manzoni. <- click for Wiki explain.
Fyi, Via Manzoni is the fashionable street in the Italy city of Milan.

A pics for Duomo at night!

This is a must visit place in Milan, do make sure u visit here when u're here!

Lastly, we ended our shopping around night.
To be continued.

Tips to travel in Milan Tourist point:
This is a real case i met in Duomo Church. Whenever some African guys approach you with a friendly tone or other, please just say NO and ignore them no matter how they talk to you. Especially when they give you a small bracelet and claimed it was a 'Free gift' from them. Because once you take it, and they will start to ask for donation.

I've personally met this and they just grab my EUR20 and walked away. I was so helpless coz they persuade my fren, Hadi to walk away and they started to claimed money from me. I'd no choice but to give them my smallest note in my pocket at the moment. I was so regret for not bringing small coins out that day. *Knock my head*

So, please make it clear in mind that "there's no free lunch in the world."
After the incident and i just said NO to ANYONE who approach to me especially blacks.

Hello, Milan!

Hello all! I'm still alive, the blog is dead i know. @.@
Probably most of you don't know yet, I'm currently now in Milan, Italy!
Why? I was sent to this place by my company for training/business trip.
Duration is 2 and half months, it's quite long tho.
Never leave my home for such a long time!

Anyway, by the time i'm typing this blogpost, it's been 3 weeks since i'm here!
Cried before, missed before. But now everything are settled down and i'm ok ady

Thinking of sharing my Milan trip with all the people out there.
So, start here. I begin my journey to Milan on 12th February (It's a month now!)
My flight was 8.20pm thru KLIA to Abu Dhabi. 7 hours flight to there.
Reach Abu Dhabi at 11.45pm (Abu Dhabi time) and transit at 2.25am to Milan.

Here's a pics taken when i was so bored in Abu Dhabi Airport in midnight.
Luckily there was a public computer for ppl like us to online. :)

Took a pics of myself, i was having very miserable feeling at the time.
Happy coz i'm out to Europe for working but sad coz i leave my home and my dear.

The ticket for transit to Malpenza Airport, Milan.
Oh ya, we were travelling by Etihad Airways.

Thoughts about Etihad Airways, Airbus 330:
The airplanes was 2-4-2 model which has individual tv for each pessengers.
Overall still okay but you have to bear that they speak Arab (Or whatsoever) whenever they want to starts a talk, for example when Captain wants to speak.

So, we managed to find our residence which located at Viale Monza after 4 hours!
Why 4 hours? Coz we were given a rented car without GPS/Map.
Ended up hired a taxi to bring us to the hotel. =x

It was Sunday and here is so dead! Nobody out there.
I was so suprised coz usually Malaysia everyone were outside on sunday!

A junction near our residence.

A random shot when we were trying to 'explore' the city.
But failed attempt in the end.

That was my view from room, it was in fifth floor.

And a pics of me! :)
Stayed in this room at fifth floor for a couple of weeks and i requested to changed to second floor due to the bad signal of wifi here. So right now i'm typing in my new room. :)

Lastly, my residence's signboard. :)

At the first day, i was very emo due to the loneliness and too not used to leave home like that. Seriously i never leave my home for so far and so long! But now, everythings goes fine and i'm getting used to the life at here (Although sometimes still emo lah!)
