Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1

I was playing my basketball as an usual weekend just now.
While police are placing road block around the basketball court.
I can't say whose house is it as i scare trouble on me.
But i saw one car, and i feel it's better to write it down now.

After some googling about car logo with wing,
Finally i found that the car is Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1.
Crazy awesome for this car, in light blue colour.

At first i thought it was a Koenigsegg CCR.
But i saw the logo is with wings.

How pretty this car is? :)

' The ZR1 engine is a heavily modified version of the LS3, designated the LS9. Producing 638 hp (476 kW) and 604 ft·lbf (819 N·m) of torque, it is the most powerful production Corvette to date. The LS9 has a sixth-generation Eaton TVS R2300 roots 4-lobe supercharger with intercoolers from Behr, utilizing an air-to-water, dual-brick design. The supercharger's four-lobe design offers improved efficiency over three-lobe models. To avoid changes to the hood appearance, the supercharger's output was split into two halves. Each cylinder bank has an intercooler. '

This world is really awesome with the supercars around.
How i wish i could earn and buy supercar enjoy with my love one, of course my parents too.
Must work hard now!

Work/no work?

Imma suck in decision making, I admit.
When thing comes, decision making always make me emo.
And now, it's my future.

Since July that my Uni's mistake and i've successfully graduated,
I've been lame at home for months. It's the second months now.
So, what should i do? :(

Easy, there's always two options for me. Study or Work.
For my decision now, i've decided to continue my master studies in Aus/UK.
But most probably UK, as the master there only need 1 year,
and Aus wanted me to take it in two years.

[img source:http://www2.worthingtonlibraries.org]
Oh great, it's time to study again. Assignments, Researches. What else?
The UK intake is on September 2011.
Now it's end of august, impossible to apply for school ady. sigh.
1 year time until the uk master starts.
Should i work? I'm sure many ppl will say yes.
But..

[Img source: http://www.savetheworldfromhome.com.au]
I'm more into electronics field, therefore one of the biggest microcontroller manufacture in my small hometown is the choice for me. But things always can't go smooth, tons of opinion and experience make me sick of the job. One of my fren told me that if i'm lucky enough to get training at other country for 5 days onwards, it's a bond with the company for at least 1 year. So, how am i suppose to study if i'm tie up to that company?

and second, November and December i've family trip. Can i get the leave? :(
I'm so sick of decision making man! It's tiring.

So, should work or shouldn't? :(
Should work now? Or right after my trip on december?

Dinner at Restaurant SKT

On 17/8/10, I received a call from my gf's sister.
Asked me to attend their dinner at Restaurant Sin Kee Tin, Muar.
This is to celebrate their grandma's birthday!

Reach there around 7.30pm.
And soon, the dinner starts.
Here are some pictures for the food.
Not all food but just randomly took.

First, bird nest as starter dish. Tasted very very nice.
Her mum's birdnest is always nice! and the best i've ever eaten :P

This is the abalone slice. Taste superb!
Prefer the abalone without mixing the source for original taste.

This dish looks nice but in fact, none of our member dare to eat.
They told that this is the lips of shark. I tried one small piece.
Felt so disgusting and ended up we exchanged the port from the next table :D

And soon, it's photography time.

Denz taking photo with his newly bought Canon EOS 550D.
I like the high ISO which is much more better than my 400D.
Time flies, technology stuffs always kick out one by one.

Their happy family :)

Snap pics of AhRou taking photo using SE phone.

and this is the grandma's children :D

Here's the video while singing the birthday song. :)

Anyway, i felt abit awkward while eating coz my gf wasn't there with me.
It's not that i'm no familiar with them but just i dono how to tell the feeling.
But i do feel happy because of this dinner.

Thanks for inviting for the dinner anyway. :)

Stealth Guard Protector for iPhone 4 Review

This is the very first time i received mail from United State.
First Mum was shocked, how come i hav this mail from there?
Okay, if you followed my own Twitter , you would probably know that i've registered from Stealth Guard Company with the free protector.
I was told by my gf, Kassie about this promotion.
Which i don't know what's the reason they are giving free protector for all the iPhone 4 user.

This is the envelope with United State stamp on it.

The Stealth Guard protector. It's cheap tho, and i've ordered two.
Seriously thanks to StealthGuard company for the protector.
Soon when i unwrapped the envelope, i quickly applied on my phone.

From the results, this is a failure for me.
Is it my skills or because of the protector?
This is my first time failed in putting screen protector seriously.
Never fail before.

From my side of thinking, i felt that the protector is very soft.
and it's hard to stick properly on my iPhone 4 even tho i've tried slowly.
There's bubbles easily which i wonder why.

The size isn't match perfectly with my phone, if i'm matching the camera spot with the camera, the bottom part of protector exceed my phone body around 1mm.
For the bubbles occurred, i've tried to push it using cloth.
Success removed some of the bubbles but it still looks ugly.

Maybe i should attempt the second protector instead of this one? haha.
But for now, i found myself a very efficient way to make my phone look beautiful and sexy as before.
Want to know? Seriously it looks good with this method!
Scrool down for the answer.

.

Okay now it looks good with my casing from DC Mugen, Ebay.
FML. epic fail.

However, still be very grateful to Stealth Guard Company with this protector.
Although my first attempt failed but i believes there's always a better results on the second attempt which i believe happens in short while.

p/s : Heard from my friends. The bubble will be auto dissipate out for some short time. Let's observe this in this few days time! :)

pp/s: Okay, after 24 hours of applied on my iphone 4. The bubbles are dissipated as what my friends told me. Now it's lesser bubble. But there's one things i've notice, the edge of the protector are dust sucker. Quite some dust on the edge now.

Everything's smooth now. Bubbles are gone! Left some dust because of my mistake during installation. Anyway, there's an installation guide from StealthGuards company itself.

Fiio E1 Review

Sometimes when I'm listening to my beloved iPod and the IEM,
I feel that my IEM (In Ear Monitor) is not that powerful enough for basshead like me.
When i read about the Fiio headphone amplifier from forum, i've decided to give it a try.
Basically it has 4 types of them, which is E1 (RM70), E3 (RM35), E5 (RM80) and E7 (RM200+).

Tried E5 which i borrowed from friend, not bad to pair with my razer pro|tone.
Read a details review from ClieOS from http://www.inearmatters.net/
From his review, E1 is almost have the same SQ with E5.
E1 is specially design for ipod and iphone with the dock connection.
According to some forumer, E1 bypass the built-in amplifier in ipod which caused the bad SQ.
Sounds not bad, so i've chosen E1 over E5 because of the volume control.
With the price RM70 + RM6 postage. I've received it within 1 day after payment.

When you take it out from the parcel, the box stated wit E1.
Not a bad design tho, just that the box isn't attractive enough.
Simple and clean.

The back, with some random Japanese.

The website stated below the box.

This is what you get when u purchased an E1. ipod is not included of course.

The dock which special made for ipod/iphone.

The volume/next/pause/play control button.
Which is giving me a very plastic feel. Not that solid for me.
The silver button is not metal also, tested.

A clip for you to clip on your shirt or whateva shit you want. :P

Verdict
For the price, couldn't expect much from the amplifier.
  • Little improvement of bass after i plug into my ipod Nano 3G.
  • Volume can turn louder.
  • Controller makes convenient.
  • If your ori file of song having noise, it will be even significant when connected to E1
Overall, is still not bad for this small portable amplifier.
As i mentioned, couldn't expect much for this price :)
I've tested it with ipod nano paired with razer pro|tone.
This verdict is based on what i've tested now,

As ClieOs mentioned in his review @ LYN

E1 is what I consider to be the better of the three. It does what an amp is suppose to do, add more power and control without adding much of its own character. That is what people refer as being 'transparent' - it is there to do its job but has minimum impact to the sound signature. I would think if you can't feel any change from adding E1 to an iPod, it is either 1) your headphone doesn't benefit much from the extra power and control, 2) your headphone isn't good enough to reveal the difference, 3) you are unable to detect the change even it is there, 4) you don't think the change is that significant, or 5) combination of any of the first 4 factors.

I think i should change a better headphone soon. haha.
Anyone share your experience for any other portable amplifier?

updated:
  • E1's ipod dock blocked my "hold" button below my nano 3G, you can't switch it off when u turned on. It's kind of blocking. E5 don't have such problem as it's connecting to 3.5mm audio jack instead of dock.
  • E1's voice controller is cool, E5 doesn't have controller.

Calanthe Art Cafe

5 of us with HS' Proton Iswara SE were in Melaka for the movie 'Salt'.
Shall not put any review at here yet, but next post.

Hs was kind enough to drive us all the way from Muar to Melaka for movie.
He and Kh were watching 'Inception' while others watched 'Salt'.
Before movie starts, we went to this cafe which located near Jonker Street for dinner.

It's Calanthe Art Cafe.
For coffee lovers.

First when I walked in, it has the 70's feel as all the design are quite unique and old style.

It's open air style. Gives us quite good feeling tho.
Shall bring my gf here next time =p

Hs brought me a book, it's kind of notebook for guest to write anything they want to write.

There were some handwriting from random Japanese too.

Here's my food. Hershey Choc-Cheese cake.
RM10+ , it's kind of pricey but taste not bad.

Caffe Latte, which i feel lack of some sugar/sweet taste.
Still acceptable tho.

Neh's drink which nothing to do with the beer ads . hahaha.

The outside view from the street.

Notice the foreigner there? They were so friendly to say Hi when i point my video to there. haha..

Here's some video taken yesterday.

Shall capture it horizontally. =/

Here's the details:

MMU Convocation '10

On 2/8/10, i was in MMU, Cyberjaya with Kelvin for his gf graduation.
Early 6am he came to fetch me and we were there around 8am.
MMU Cyberjaya is quite big and even bigger than INTI.

Anyway, Pei Teng gave us an invitation card.
So, we spend our morning in the hall.
First when we walked in, malay song was playing.
and some student already get their cert.
Quickly find an empty seat and there goes our stupid morning.

The students name.
It was a tough time inside the hall, with stupid MMU system.
We all weren't allow to go out from hall and it was just like prison.
Even though we haven have breakfast yet, and we were asked not to leave the hall.
Because of the stupid management for multimedia university!
We were only allow to leave when the ceremony is over, and it's noon time already.

Here's Pei Teng, with her flowers.

Kelvin and Pei Teng.

Oh ya, my another friend, Wawa is also graduate on the same day.

The usual pose for graduation. LOL!
Wonder I ll do that on my convo end of this year?

Pei Teng and her family.

and all of her friends.

This journey took me one whole day, reach muar was evening already.
Lack of water, caused me fall sick for entire week. wtf.
Drink more water..hmmm..

How to change your macbook white unibody RAM?

On July 23th, i've received my RAM parcel from forumer through LYN.
Was experienced slow switching apps with my 2GB default RAM,
and finally i'm get to change.

Firstly, prepare screwdriver for unscrewing your mac.
Here i took out the smallest from my screwdriver collections for tis purpose.

Unscrew the eight screws of your mac.

The screws are very tiny and better keep it at a safe place to prevent lost.

Here goes my cover. Look solid metal from inside tho.

and the fan spot is quite dirty,

Nice interface from the mac. Remember de-charge your static charge of your palm on the metal surface on the left side.

The hard drive.

My new 2GB x 2 Corsair RAM.

Push the pin at the two sides of the RAM, to lift it up.
Pull the RAM out carefully. Insert the new RAM with the same method.

Tada~ this is the old default 1GB RAM. It's from Samsung btw. hehe..

From 2GB to 4GB, significant changes on fast switching applications.
Especially i'm doing dual-boot Windows 7 via VMware, shouldn't be a problem.
Photoshop, iphoto, itunes, tweetdeck and etc can be open all in once without any slow response problem. :D
